Checking a guide before sending it
1A volunteer team prepared an audio guide for a small exhibition. The first draft contained several unfamiliar words. Listening to the recording, the volunteers noticed that the explanations were difficult to follow.
2They replaced the unfamiliar words with everyday expressions. Having checked the revised script, the volunteers sent it to the narrator. The narrator then recorded a new version.
3Designed for first-time visitors, the guide explained each object without assuming specialist knowledge. The team kept the historical facts but changed the language used to present them. Clearer wording did not require less accurate information.
